What motivates you to work with this demographic? 

    Honestly, I’m not sure what motivates me to work with children who have experienced trauma. I do know that once I started working with PS&G, I never questioned or doubted that it felt right for me. It feels good that I can be hands on in making a difference in our kids’ lives. It can sometimes be hard not having the power to do everything I want to do for our kids and their families. But I focus on doing everything I can in the time that I have with them. 

What do you like to do outside of work? 

-Going camping with family

-Watching Hockey (Go Knights!)

-Trying to cook new recipes 

-Self-Care Sunday’s 

-Binge watching is a guilty pleasure of mine (Love Island, Survivor, New Girl, Bobs Burgers, Parks and Rec) 

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? 

  Soft pretzels and cheese.

What motivates you to work with this demographic? 

    Getting to know the children who attend the program, you form a strong and positive bond. The bond is what motivates me to work is such a vulnerable demographic. Knowing that I can not only impact them to help them grow, but to watch their progress is an amazing feeling. I don’t want one day to go by without a project safe and growing child knowing that they are safe and loved by us.

 What do you like to do outside of work ?

     Going on hikes and hanging out by the lake.

What motivates you to work with demographic?           

    Hearing the stories of children who are victims of crime can be heart-wrenching but seeing them progress through our program is very rewarding. These children have gone through the most unimaginable things; however, watching them connect with each other and use the social and emotional skills that we teach them, helps me stay motivated and want to continue to work with this demographic.

What do you like to do outside of work?                      

    Outside of work I enjoy escape rooms with my friends and family. With everything that has been happening over the last year, I have been trying out different at-home escape rooms. I’ve been enjoying them more because instead of using a timer and trying to beat the clock, my fiance and I can take our time and really get into the story more.

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?     Chicken fajitas burrito from Casa Grande.

What motivates you to work with demographic?           

      Using my interpersonal skills, patience and creativity to create a fun and inclusive classroom environment is personally satisfying. Developing healthy connections and relationships between each child and their family continues to motivate me to work with the demographic at Project Safe and Growing.

What do you like to do outside of work?                      

    I enjoy watching movies, spending time with my  family and laughing A LOT. 

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?       I would eat ice cream.
